Welcome to my nightmare of masquerades in shades of grey
I'm paralyzed by all the fear inside my head
Is this how it's supposed to end?
With white light rushing in

Just strap this ball and chain around my neck and choke me
And I'll try to scream for help but the words just fade and whisper
And you can hear my every thought and how it haunts me
But I'll fight with every ounce of strength that I have left

It's just a dream, when everything you second guess
It's not my time to die, I will not leave tonight
Just like the stories that they told
And those demons want me now

If I dream tonight, will I die too?
And if I fall asleep, will I fade away?

Wake up from this nightmare
Wake up from this lucid dream
Wake up from my real life
