Array ( [sid] => 98621 [catid] => 1 [aid] => mick [title] => Horse Of My Mind [time] => 2005-06-19 16:10:28 [hometext] => This poem I created to show as a metaphor of what life really is and what it's all about. Depending on how you take it---it may mean many things. [bodytext] => Ride on beautiful horse of my mind,
You leave me whole, with not one bind.
The way your mane glistens in the summer's glow,
Leaving my heart at ease, erasing for a moment, the crimson flow.

The way your body glides over flowers of all kinds,
Making my soul feel hearty and through my chest it shines.
Butterflies and bees all follow you around,
My mind settles, leaving behind the bound.

Until the day you abandoned me,
I think you went to someone else, you see.
That day to sunshine burnt out,
You made my soul, deep inside of me, shout.

The seas of mine dried up that day,
Children all went inside, no more to play.
Every other animal left with you as well,
Making my heart stop beating, that moment I fell.

I was shot on that day but a copper bullet in my heart,
For you left with no goodbye, leaving me to part.
The skies turned dark and no sounds were made,
Every spot on earth was where broken souls laid.

Sweet horse of my mind,
You, someday, I wish to find.
I showed you my deep, dark, blue heart,
Thinking, we would never dare to part.

Oh dear...where do i start? the words are so powerful...i felt your pain and sadness..... one of the best written poems ive read.....and i completely understand how your feeling....that is if i read it the right way...i took it as you lost a loved one extremly close to your heart....and the pain you went through when you lost them...if so then i do understand and let me tell you as bad as you think or know things are now they will get better...i promise and you can hold me to it... it may not seem like it now but sooner or later you will find that one one person who will feel this way about you...and dont let that go... bc things you may not know....vl

Poetry is much like a great photo, a single "moment in time" capturing many feelings and emotions. Yet, they are very alive; creating stirrings within the readers who form visual "pictures" of the expressed emotions within the Poem. ©
