Make dirty words of sole unsaid
Words I used hurt you instead
Thought the key was held by all
But key was held by just this one
I am to blame
My sole is darkened
Character questioned by owner
Words of anger taken out
Not meant to hurt you
Meant to know
Wiped the tear and watched me scream
Almost surrender to bitter
But held me with words and arms
Kind and forgiving
Help not unnoticed
Fooled myself with words of anger

Make dirty words of sole unsaid

Very fine write indeed Nat.....wonderful rhyme, and flow.........enjoyed it most of all because it seemed to console..most you of course, but that's what the pen is for!

we all do occasionally sink to those low levels as anger takes over. We just have to do what you did and apologize and try not to make the same mistake again. Best to ignore silly people. No matter what they tell you, crow is not very tasty.

this was a good poem. and it's nice to apologize. and we all do let angry words slip at times, don't punish yourself to much. saying your sorry is a lot harder than letting the angry words slip. so, unlike others, you apologized. good job! keep up the good work!!
