On days like today, when the weather is crisp
It reminds me of you and the things that I miss.

The way we would drive for hours on end
And talk of the future and the times we would spend.

Of the dreams that we shared and the love that we had
Of the dances we danced and how I was glad.

Of the way your eyes gleamed with excitement each time I came round
Of the way your body felt and the way your snores sound.

Of your laugh, Of your voice, Of your everything
Of the way I wish I had a chance to wear your ring.

I will forever miss our talks that lasted for hours
Our kisses, Our whispers, Our touches and showers.

Our private times together, Our friendship, Our trust
Our view of the world and of course Our lust.

Our times wrapped up in a blanket just looking at the sky
The time you named a star after me and told me why.

The time we rode down to the River and on the blanket we laid
Looking at each other and the love that we made.

Of the time we danced in the rain in the middle of the street
And splashing in the puddles with our soggy wet feet.

Of the time you sent me flowers for no reason at all
Of that night when my heart died and I built this damn wall.

Of the way you said you were right behind me
And you never showed up
Of the next day when no one would help me look for you
And I felt it in my gut.

Of the night I got the call and to the hospital I went
Only to find a nurse who said to Memphis you were sent.

Of the funeral, Of the casket, Of the flowers all around
Of the people, Of the preacher, Of the cold hard ground

Of the tears, Of the screams, Of the love that I lost
Of the way my heart aches for you and the bridges I have crossed.

I miss you so much my heart will never be the same, but I will be eternally grateful to a man I called Shane.

I don't know where to begin.Your poem is extreemly sad,but so beautifully written.I feel for you,but tear down that wall. Your Shane would want you to move on and be happy. You can talk each day of your life to Shane as his spirit is eternaly alive.
God in His mercy will care for you and him.
Pease keep writing

Absolutely Beautiful! I'm so very sorry. This is a truly touching poem. Great job and again I'm so sorry.
