I’m covered in skin, bruised and tattered,
Maybelline can’t cover up the crimson scars on my heart,
It shows deep within my eyes, I know it,
I look into them everyday…
Amber orbs etched with anguish…

Shameful tears of self-hate shedding,
Wallowing in my own sea of nothingness,
Wishing for love to drive everything away,
Searching for some miniscule piece of hope,
Finding only left over containers of nothing,
Endless piles of emptiness and forget…

4:00 a.m. traffic, major accident on Memory Lane,
24-hour delay, Depression struck Melancholy,
Body malfunction, stress overload,

Wednesday morning, restless night,
Spine is twisted, eyes red and dry,
Coffee spewing from every aperture,
A reckless cry into the night…
There’s no more sheep to count,
And I’m left tallying bodies to the beat of war drums…

I N S O M N I A

Pull me out from the inside,
Free me from this insufferable world of ignorance,
Throw my mortal body into the depthless splendor of your mind,
Embellish my flesh with your mental caresses,
Leave behind your mark of passion,
Make me yours…

Excellent write. It pours sadness and despair. Sounds like you have give up. I hope not. Sending you strength and caring.

Angelic sadness, written to express such

discontent, yet in a beautiful style of poetic

passion, a lovely excurssion into the soul

of tragedy . . . ((((((stephy)))))))

pssht and you say you have writer's block.
You lied to me Steph!!!! Lied to me!!!! I am so
hurt... lol j/k. Anyway this was awesome,
superb, magnifico! I think I liked the second
stanza the best it just really stood out and
explains how you feel wonderfully and forces
the reader to empathize with your pain. Thanx
for sharing this.

This is definite insanity...

Left alone to the notions that adulterate, debauch, vitiate and spoliate you like glowing coals on your naked flesh...

Such a madness I am familiar with as well...

Very beautiful portrayal, this. So much so that it causes emotional agitation within myself, of such a memory of a feeling brought back with vivid lucidity...

Good write!
