this sleep so deep and still
the folded hands the awful calm
the cheek so pale and chill

the lids that will not rise again
though I may call and call
this strangest solitude of peace
that'll settle over all

I know not nearly what it means
this agonizing pain
the dread that took my jest away
and happiness the same

I do not know what other place
the dead in death will go
nor why I'm left to wonder still
if we've a mortal soul

we came into this life
with neither knowledge nor intent
so when we enter death, we must
as little children sent

still nothing's known but I believe
that God is overhead
and that maybe life's to us
just as death is to the dead

Good poem questions we all seem to ask.
Once born we never die
Like a seed sacked and dry
Taken to a lonly plot
Buried to decay and rot
Only to sprout a hundred fold
Death where is thy sting as we are told
Death entered the world because of man
To be as God listen to satan
Death the last of satans power to be defeated
In heaven Gods power forever seated
On earth the Spirit freely romes
Calling mankind home

good write
Sinned

My dearest .. that final stanza has an unbelievable depth.
(the summation ..) I don't think this is a concept
that has not been thought of or even talked about
in past times .. but surely your reflections and the
masterful way you've conveyed them are undeniably
unique and profoundly pensive.

Does your mind ever feel a strain from so much
going on in there? lol .. seriously babe, you are one
of the greatest thinkers I've ever known. :) and
I am delightfully glad you are.

love always,

~Breezy
