Array ( [sid] => 9797 [catid] => 1 [aid] => Mick [title] => I didn't want this [time] => 2003-01-05 09:40:00 [hometext] => Car crashes are horrific. I have been in two really bad ones and some close calls. But I have also seen some and even my loved ones have been in them, so devastating when someone dies. [bodytext] => I dabbed at my knee
As I looked around
Dirt and tears so I couldn't see
I fell to the ground.

Again I heard it
As I went into shock
My lip bled where I bit
It just wouldn't block.

Two cars collided
At such a fast pace,
I knew I wouldn't have minded
If it had of been a race.

I couldn't concintrate anymore
It was spinning away from me
I felt the blood seep from a sore
I cried out "Where? Where is he?"

It felt like I was insane
Like they wanted to put me away
As I stumbled with the pain
They tried to make me stay.

Finally I broke free
Feeling so numb I ran on
Where could I be?
Where has he gone?

It was dark and felt like it should rain
On this clear April night
I realised a stain
And without him I didn't want to fight.

But here I am and here his not
All I can truely say
This is not what I want
I didn't want it this way. [comments] => 1 [counter] => 179 [topic] => 32 [informant] => Emsal [notes] => [ihome] => 0 [alanguage] => english [acomm] => 0 [haspoll] => 0 [pollID] => 0 [score] => 0 [ratings] => 0 [editpoem] => 1 [associated] => [topicname] => SadPoetry )

That's so sad... car accidents are horrible, I absolutely hate hearing about them, and there's no good reason why they should ever happen, which I think is the saddest part of all. Because despite that, they do. Such a touching write, it pulled at my heartstrings.
