Array ( [sid] => 9788 [catid] => 1 [aid] => Mick [title] => Notice [time] => 2003-01-05 06:40:00 [hometext] => This poem is tributed to parents. This is a message to parents. You have to communicate wtih you children because if you don't you will lose them forever. Love them for who they are and what they are. My parents they already lost me. [bodytext] => Do you notice my sad brown eyes?

Your attention locked in place some other place.

Do you notice the loneliness shinning, twinkling in my eyes?

Do you notice I don't eat much?

Losing to much weight and getting too thin.
Going out of my mind.
In trouble and need help.
Reaching out but you don't hold on.

Do you notice these things?
I think not.

Do you notice the visible pain in my eyes?

Do you even notice the pain that I am in?

Burning tears of my soul.
Will you even notice my dying soul?
Notice that your not always right.
Notice that your sometimes wrong and I'm right.
Notice I need love but your not giving it out or showing that you do.

Did you notice the times you could of spend with your children but not its much too late.

Do you even notice a d*** thing?

A child rebelling for a reason unknown to you.

Do you notice the tention she craves?

Losing your children but you don't seem to notice.
Always picking fights then get mad when brought to your attention.
Treatinig your kids like they owe you something when they don't.
We didn't bring ourselves into this world.
Be woman and man enough and admit you were wrong and we were right.

Do you notice your driving us away and we may never come back?

Do you notice your not even parents?

If you call this parenting you really have lost your mind.
Something always more important than your children.

Did you notice the times we tried to talk things out but all you did was yell and criticize.
Should of listened now its too late.

Did you even notice our dying souls of the lack of attention and love we craved?

Did you even notice that you've already lost us?

So many times we tried but nothing changed.
In your eyes we all failed.
In your eyes we were the assassins and your were the victims.
Never apologizing for hurtful words your spat out.
Always leaving everything unresolved.
Never believing in us or giving the support we craved.
You never noticed a d*** thing.

I liked this and I can see between the words that you have been hurt deeply. My parents also seem to never want to talk things out they just yell and TRY to make me feel guilty. Hang in there they don't understand and its not your fault.

parents, they never really get it do they? My parents are similar to what you talk about here, always all up in my business, but they are only interested for their own concerns... i feel like they only care on some lame-o superficial level that only caters to their own needs and expectations. My parents are also bad about saying things because theyre mad about something else, but it seems that they never apologize. The only way they know to resolve anything is to start yelling like a bunch of apes. So i ask myself, do we need all of this needless turmoil? The answer is obviously no, we don't need their criticism, we don't need their supression/repression games and we sure don't need them so i say fxck 'em and lets build our own world. We can defy them by not becoming them.
