Angel

You are as the scented morning air
Cleansing and refreshing to my heart
Reaffirming the promise and hope
Of every new day
~
Thinking of you brings happiness
A joyous smile
Not only to my face
My heart and soul as well
~
You are a divine creation
I but a man
Do not fear me Angel
For I know my place
~
Such beauty was never meant
For the likes of one such as I
Yet God in His mercy
Allows me to see it
~
Inspiring my heart
So again I try
With these clumsy hands of clay
To capture your elegance
~

You are as the scented morning air
