It’s hard not to see
You are determined to make me smile
Even if it takes awhile
You won’t give up without a fight
You won’t let me leave your sight
Always there
Always with a care
I turn away
To this day
I look past you
Try to run, too
You grab me, though
And give a pull
Won’t let me run
Won’t let me feel shunned
You’ll pull a joke
Pretend to choke
Just to get me to laugh
And relieve me of stress
But, then, when I grow silent
You ask why I’m quiet
When my poems I read
You are next to me and plead
That you can read my poems
I say to leave me alone
But now you are next to me,
Begging to see
I say no and close the book
You ask why you can’t look
I just walk away in silence
Some call it silent violence
You are at my side again
Telling me to use my brain
And tell you what’s wrong
Not to go off and fight alone
I glare at you, but I won’t know why
You show so much care, I want to cry
You care so much
You always have the touch
But why you stay around,
And how you found
Out about me, I’ll never know
Why you don’t go,
I understand not
You care a lot
Stand next to me all the time
Trying to find
Out what’s behind my pain
Wondering why I let myself drain
Of my own life
Or why I try to end the strife
Want to know why I don’t fight
You tell me it’s not right
I say not a word
Still move forward
You grab my wrist
I clench my fists
You wrap your arm around my shoulder
You are my comforter
Whenever I want to die
You come and make me want to cry
You tell me that I can trust you
But I trusted others, too
And they hurt me and got me here
They let me shed tears
I know you just care
And try to be fair
I know if you if you could,
That you would
Fight my life for me
Destroy all my enemies
But you can’t
You know that
It’s only my right
To fight
And I’ve given it up
That right I have dropped
You can try to catch it
But, just understand this

I reach for death
You drag me towards life

I try to push you away
But you have a way
To keep me with you
This is all true
You won’t let me grab the knife
Refuse to let me end my life
I try to run
And reach for the gun
But, you pull me back
Try to keep me on track

I reach for death
You drag me towards life

You vs. me
Life vs. death

I reach for death
You drag me towards life

I hate to say it, but this is exactly what happened with me and Taylor... I'm not denying the regret I have for it, but this let me know other people were in the same postion... Thanks you. ^.^
