ohh boy what a treat
Your getting a higher education
Isn't that great

Your freinds have all left you
so you make more
but now you have no time
to frolic and play

You have no time to play
cause all you do is school
You have to make a living
so what do you do
You work all your free hours
to make money for school

On rare occations
you get to play
with all your new friends

One day you get a call
and low and behold
it's an old buddy of mine
You get on the bus
and there''s another
buddy of mine

We chat all that ride
exchange numbers and rhymes
you step back and see how
eachother has change

You go to your old highschool
with joy in your heart
because you know
that it will never change
But what do you find
once you get there
All the teachers have left
except one or two
they have all retired but 2

So now people they say
how your looking good
and wonder what your up to
You tell them whats going on in your life
Wishing that you were back
in your old high school

They don't call me names anymore
or pull my hair
they say sorry about what
they've done to me
And wish me luck in whatever I''m doing

As they walk off the curb
you stop and wonder
why you never stayed in touch
but know you have their number
so you can reaquant yourself
with all your old friend

Now no one talks about the scronny kid
that couldn't get freinds or even dates
Because that scronny kid has turned into
One of the most beautiful swans

Although this was a bit rough around the edges, I enjoyed this write...You took me back to my own days in high school, with old friends. Your expression was pretty good, and you took the reader on a journey with you, as a poem should...Nicely done!

Scorp.
