Array ( [sid] => 9725 [catid] => 1 [aid] => Mick [title] => Let me let go [time] => 2003-01-04 09:20:00 [hometext] => something i wrote on christmas eve... [bodytext] => 14 days now, 2 whole weeks
No more bruises on my skin, no burns
No more red secrets etched into white beauty
No more fateful work written on this blank canvas
So much more to learn

Just one cut, just one blade
One tear and it all breaks down again
Back to the beginning, back to nothing
All lost again, everything torn down
Everything I’ve worked for,
And I’ve crawled back to the cutting

Trying to stay away, lock my doors
But I can hear it calling me,
I hear it shouting my name,
Is there any point trying to do this, when I know
When I know I’m not strong enough
It’s the only way to heal my pain

So tempting, too tempting
Wanting, needing that kiss, that touch
Resisting because they told me I can
But the thing is, I can’t
I’ve never needed anything so much

Why should I try?
I can’t hold back anymore, it’s too hard
Too much effort to stay off the blade
Too much to help me get better again
The love has cut too deep in my heart
We can’t stay apart

So when you try to stop me, I won’t
You act like I care, thing is I don’t
Fed up of playing, can’t do this
Giving up, I need that silver barbedwire kiss
I have nothing left to show, please
Let me let go.

I wear them like badges
These marks that i've made
Each one stands for something
A testament to pain
I walk around in shorts all day
Red slashes showing on my milk white flesh
Slowly healing, slowly fading
To whitish scars blending in
I my friend struggle with cutting all to often and it's a very painful thing to have to go through, i myself never cut for the need to feel, i always cut to punish myself, it's how i deal with things i feel are my fault...or things i have done wrong....May all the cutters, and self mutilators of the entire world stay safe and warm and never die for it's the love of others we all need when we cry.....

This brought back a lot of memories for me I am a cutter as well. 'I've crawled back to the cutting' that line wow is just amazing. I hate it because often as u described the razor's voice is often the loudest. I have often needed to feel that 'silver barbedwire kiss'. I liked this a lot brings back a lot ofmemories. Keep em up.

Here for you,
Bobo (Joel)

i have read all of your poetry and am envious of your style, your words just flow through my mind, i have never been a cutter but there is an honesty of expression in your work that allows anyone who reads it to relate to it and feel something of where you are, much love to you, may you find your way beyond the darkness that haunts you.
