What brought a night so dark that lies seem true the never ending efforts to be side by side with you My passion is the key to the ultimate desire Your flavor is the sugar that keeps me wired Your mouth hits hard like a cobblestone rock but your words are so much softer like a quite ticking clock Monotonous just like the phrases you repeat "I'll call you after 4 and we'll go get something to eat" I know you'll never call so I'll make plans to eat by myself I'll smile knowing soon you'll realize what your missing out I wont call you when you fail to show up tonight I'd be stupid to expect that now everything is right If someone new comes along I'll be the first one to say hello dear your still my girl but she doesn't need to know Erasing my past is what I seem to do best Forgetting our future will prove a more difficult test I can't look up to you not wanting to hold you But I can hang up my heart alongside yours too retire my thoughts on a canvas of feelings move on to tomorrow and better beginnings
