United together as we slowly walk hand in hand
Keeping each other close whilst trekking this desolate land
The ghostly mist does surround, blinding us with unsaid terror
Causing the fear inside to stir which now becomes our error
Treacherous clouds watch over us, the sadness blankets the sky
Revealing what does soon await, it is time for one to die

Your hand leaves my grasp as you tiredly cease to walk
I look around and plead to you but death does relentlessly stalk
I call out for you but fulfillment does seal your dark eyes
The swamp is taking you, for it has heard your silent cries
Oh please don’t leave my love; I refuse to watch you die
But the sadness has captured you, so in the muddy pools I cry

The end grows nearer as the mist thickens and dooms your fate
Swallowed up by such darkness, all I can do is wait
Don’t leave me here but you have given up the fight
I am losing you on this deserts death filled night
Refusing to struggle as you let yourself disappear
Amongst this terrain of misery, just know I love you my dear

I am soon to stand alone in this terrible lake of madness
```~```~```
As I slowly watch you sink into the gruesome depths of sadness
```~```~```

I really love this poem. It makes me think about my life, and about the people that are really close to me. It just makes me think aboout the future, how everything can be gone in a flash.
I really liked the use of symbolism. The Swamp was the perfect title for a place people go when they die, wiether it be heaven or hell. Anyways, I think over all this was a great poem and the artist[I call everyone who can portray an image magnificantly an artist] should keep up the good work.
