what is it about you that g e t s me?
why can't I push my thoughts of you away
into a dark, cobwebbed corner or my mind
where I keep my broken dreams,
until they eventually fade away?
I feel stupid.
stupid for wasting my time on you.
stupid for still trying.
I realize that I can't have you,
but why does that make me want you so bad,
that I can taste it?
maybe one day I'll outgrow this.
and like an old pair of shoes,
I'll pass my hopes for us onto someone else,
who will wear you for a while,
and then push you into the back of her closet too.
you just won't go away. [comments] => 1 [counter] => 166 [topic] => 75 [informant] => that_gypsy_fire [notes] => [ihome] => 0 [alanguage] => english [acomm] => 0 [haspoll] => 0 [pollID] => 0 [score] => 0 [ratings] => 0 [editpoem] => 1 [associated] => [topicname] => anguished )

..an honest write, from the hip-
your frustration is very evident

and although trivial it may be..
I really enjoyed reading something
without the first letter of EVERY line capitalized,
as this is a style of the "days of yore"..and is
very rarely found much anymore in
quality work.. (frowned upon)

I liked it.
