I am asking because I care
And because I am interested in your well-being.
Too often you will come across someone who only asks this
Because they do not know what else to ask.
This is not so with me.
My feelings and my questions are genuine and sincere.

I see a sad expression on your face
And it troubles me to see you in this state.
I know that life does not always go the way we want it to
But I want you to know that there are some people in this
World that are willing to take time out of their day
To listen to someone, a friend, when in need.

What would life be like without friends?
With no one to share your feelings with?
We would be forced to keep them bottled up inside,
Letting them sit and fester like a
Gaping wound, only getting worse with time.

It is only with a true release of our emotions,
And a good cry that we can be free of the bondage
That they hold us in.

So do yourself a favor,
Next time someone asks you how you are doing,
Tell them. Release your feelings.
You might just be surprised at the
Compassion they send your way. [comments] => 8 [counter] => 193 [topic] => 63 [informant] => Zeldianus [notes] => [ihome] => 0 [alanguage] => english [acomm] => 0 [haspoll] => 0 [pollID] => 0 [score] => 19 [ratings] => 4 [editpoem] => 1 [associated] => [topicname] => hbadday )

Seth, this is fantastic. What a wonderful world this could be if people truly meant what they said. So glad I don't live in New York or a big city anymore where people just do not have time for each other. Yes, it is wonderful to have friends to really talk to and care about. I think you should be an ambassador of feelings.

Well done Seth! You spoke of something that is sadly true, and luckily, those fortunate enough to call you a friend have someone they can count on...I especially liked the fourth stanza.
