I’ve walked this grassy path
Many times in the past few years
With a pit in my stomach
And eyes full of tears

It’s a difficult walk for me
Each time it’s just the same
Until I reach that set stone
That’s carved with your name

I’ve come out after work
Just to spend sometime alone
Silent moments between father and son
Before I head on home

Yet today it’s especially hard
As I count another year
That I’ll wish you happy birthday
While knowing that you’re not here

I’ve planted some flowers for the occasion
I hope you enjoy their beautiful smell
I going to try and force a smile
Though I’m not sure I know how

Another Year
~~~~
I’ve walked this grassy path
Many times in the past few years
With a pit in my stomach
And eyes full of tears

It’s a difficult walk for me
Each time it’s just the same
Until I reach that set stone
That’s carved with your name

It so sad and i understand the feel every year pass and in your heart your want your child
there one thing that keep me with a smile is a poem i wrote and what my father told me be for he die also wrote a peom for my unborn.. i understand ....
