tears

Contributed by visualizing_life on Wednesday, 1st June 2005 @ 09:04:35 PM in AEST
Topic: Suicide

tears
blurr my vision
blurr my sense of reality
blurr everything

as i wipe
the overflow of tears
from my eyes
i sniffle

you walk up to me
as i push my tears aside
you wont see
the tears i cry

you ask whats wrong
i say nothing
and take off
running as fast as i can

i stop short
no longer able to breath
i sit down
and start to cough

i pull my hand away
from my bouth
to see red bloches,
blood

i get up and
walk the rest
of the way home
coughing every so often

when i stumble
through the door
i notice my white shirt
is now covered in blood

owell
i thought
i sat down
contemplating my next move

i pull the knife
from my pocket
and put the cold blade
to my warm flesh

pushing hard
kind of wanting to feel
what i always had
pain

i fiercly cut
pushing harder
and harder
over my wrists and arms

as i start to see
all the drops
of the shimmering
blood run down my fingertips

i take the blood
and draw a picture
on my wall
i loved it

it said so
many things
in a simple,
yet perfect picture

i was forced
to go to the hospital
that day
i got a total of 53 stiches

the scars
remind me
of wat im capable of
of who i am

This poem has so much emotion in it. From tears to blood running down, it's a wonderful piece. I would love to know what exactly that picture on the wall is though, maybe that can be your next poem. Keep writing amazing things!

Awesome write. I can relate in some ways. I like the emotive language you use, and I like the length. Don't be sorry, it needed to be that long!!!! Keep your head up, things will get better. Have hope. If you need a friend, just send me a message!!
