Army of One

Topic: EmotionalPoetry

blood-thirsty mosters
blocking out the sun
stricking so swiftly
the screaming hasn't begun

bringing down others
around you like hay
chopping there lifes out
makes your world start to sway

left standing alone
encaged by your fear
cut down by everything
you once held so dear

gleaming metal
shines and blinks in the dust
you dive and you grab it
covers your hand with rust

you dive and you swing
and you push it all in
killing persuers
attacking fair game

killing persuers
attacking fair game
but as you knock one down
two more swing into place

a shot flashes out
its an airel view
with you in the middle
fighting off a black glue

it will cling to your body
suck away all your life
stick to your spirit
overcome you with strife

the battle on lingers
as you start to feel pain
the shortness of breath
as you realized no distance you gained

all other are gone
so abandoned alone
left to stick it all off
sticking to your own code

fighting off demons
burden waying a ton
you stand alone you are an
army of one
