Array ( [sid] => 96457 [catid] => 1 [aid] => mick [title] => TWILIGHT ZONE [time] => 2005-06-01 04:13:09 [hometext] => I dedicate this poem to a wonderful poetess, Nessa (Ladyfawn) She sent me a little dancing frog, Enjoy...... [bodytext] =>
Come with me
into the Twilight Zone
These are the things
that surround me.....
I'm never alone!

!TWILIGHT ZONE!

Remember my pal Rod?
A program on the TV
left your imagination awed!!!
I loved the !Twilight Zone!.....
For my imagination, I've
never outgrown.

Last night we had a big flood.
Huge mud puddles sighted,
Frogs a' crockin' Fish a' jumpin'
Ants a' raftin' birds a' drippin'
AND, I have NOT been nippin!

'Tis the !Twilight Zone!
I put my imagination on loan....
Oh, My......wish you could see
What I see almost daily.

Upside down opossum a' jitterbuggin'
Swinging high, so low a' hangin'

My duck is a' quackin'
"Afleck, Afleck," he's a' yellin'

The ole Oak is a' swingin'
It's Acorns a' twirling 'n a' singin'

I know this isn't for a' real?
I know this frog ain't an' actual!
I can't prove the trout is a' factual?
It's me I hear as I a' chuckle!

The trout is a' splashin'
With each jump he's a'yellin"
"Frog! Leave your hat on!"
"Tis plain to see the Frog is long gone!!!

I have these episodes often,
My imagination is n'er barren!
Sometimes it takes me to the brink.....
And then you wonder why I drink?

this was brilliant on so many levels...
I love the "shattered" feeling the composition has..
yet it flows...
one of my favorites thus far!
I loved this-
