Array ( [sid] => 96405 [catid] => 1 [aid] => mick [title] => Meus Angelus [time] => 2005-05-31 18:04:29 [hometext] => Inspired by my other poem, the Angel's Fall. If our lover was an Angel, wouldn't life be perfect? [bodytext] => Meus Angelus

I saw beauty in your eyes
A sorrowful splendour glistening
And your smile sparked something inside
Your words calmed me

(Piano)

I heard you whisper softly
Numbing my pain with your words
And your wings wrapped around me
As you held me in an embrace

I remember the soft silk of your feathers
The warmth in your hand
I remember my blood
Rushing through my veins

I never understood what you were
I can’t understand what you are
And I’m realising now
As our love is whole

That you’re my angel

(Orchestra, choirs)

My one, my only
Hold me close tonight
And if I’m cold
Encircle me in your wings

(Choir)

Only beauty in your eyes
A sorrowful splendour sparkling
You smile sparked something inside
My beautiful Angel

You have a passion like fire
A love as strong as stone
And your care for me
Is the only strength I need

You are my one, my only
Hold me close tonight?
Sing me to sleep again
So I can dream again
