in whom I share my life,
Whether it be happiness
or whether it be strife
within the place I live.

In you I do depend
to pull me from the mire.
When things seem rough
you are always there.
On that i can depend.

Somtimes I fall upon my knees
because I feel such despair.
Even though I can not see your face
I know that you are sitting there,
unseen, but there.

You, My Friend, are more
than just a friend I need.
You are the one who came,
died upon that cross for me.
Sometimes I feel unworthy.

I often wonder about the world.
I worry about those I love.
They do not see a need for you,
the one who watches from above,
yet you are there.

"I do not believe in God"
I, sometimes, hear them say.
Can they not surely see
in all that surrounds us day by day
that is was not by chance?

Some say the mind is tricky, cause delusions.
They refuse to see what is before their eyes.
They say we exploded from a tiny cell
somewhere out in space but what a surprise
when they find it was all lies.

I beg of them to taste of Gods love.
You, my Friend, are worthy of so much.
If only they would reach out, feel your love
their eyes would be opened to so much
enjoyment, fullness of life.

You, My Friend, are the one
