Array ( [sid] => 96350 [catid] => 1 [aid] => mick [title] => Mama's Sleeping [time] => 2005-05-31 08:46:52 [hometext] => This poem is for my mother and all the anguish that my brother has put her through in the years. Now he is on the road to recovery. Good Luck Scott. My prayers are with you that you succeed. [bodytext] => Mama's in the bedroom sleeping,
Having all her little dreams,
Only to wake up sweaty and weeping.

She keeps in her heart the hope,
That tomorrow it will be easier to cope,
With the life that her child now chose.

All the while her heart is only breaking,
Hoping that time will ease the aching,
Always giving but never taking.

Showing happiness on the outside,
And her sadness and sorrow in the inside hides,
Fighting the want and the need to cry.

Emotions piled high with love and hate,
Love of a mother that gets broken in one day,
Hate for the way she feels even if she prays.

Mama's in the bedroom sleeping,
Dreaming of how it used to be,
It's all she can do to keep believing.

She looks for that special place,
Where her heart can finally be safe,
Believing tomoorow can be a better day.

Not understanding exactly where she went wrong,
Still wondering what else she could have done,
Her beloved little boy, her beloved son.

Eating at her soul until she cries,
With mild thoughts of wanting to die,
But she only continues to strive.

Always asking herself, why me,
As the pain stings her heart like a 1000 bees,
Waiting for a day of pure relief.

Mama's in the bedroom sleeping,
Dreaming of how it used to be,
Cause it's all she can do to keep on believing.
