And is beginning to slip
She screams for someone
But knows there is no one
She is falling
And is calling
But no one hears her screams
She knows soon she’s going to cease
The edge moves away
Today is her last day
Now she’s brave
And she craves
For the first kiss she missed
For the first hug her never received
Now she regrets letting go
But she also knows
No one cared
Now she is glad
That she did it
She was being torn bit-by-bit
Which is worse than this
She knows she won’t be missed
Because no one tried to help her
They just left her to fight the war
All alone
On her own
They must have thought
She could tough it out
But they knew she could not
Even though she gave all she’s got
Now she’s mad at all who promised
They’d be there when she collapsed
Everyone said it, all
They said they’d catch her when she fell
But where are they now?
Probably off laughing at how
She was foolish enough to listen
Now her eyes glisten
She believed them
And now she’s soon to be dead

Arrrgh! You two are giving me fits! If nothing else, you two care for each other! You're not alone and others care! Jennie's right, great poem, and I liked the style. And I know the betrayal hurts, but you aren't alone. At the very least IM Jennie. As someone who has messed up a lot, when we are truly alone and refuse to reach out, we only make matters worse. Don't be alone. Please.
