And I know what it means to have someone care
Tell you they love you, they’ll always be there
When your nothingness feels so real
And one persons words truly can heal
The walls you’ve built crumble to dust
You finally found someone to make you trust
The outsiders no longer matter
And you see the real you fall and shatter
You needed others to measure your worth
Now your true essence is lost to the earth
All you have left is empty embraces
Stagnant devotion, desolate faces
Love has lost it’s tender touch
The beauty died when you cared too much
