Over the purity of human nature
So many categories
So much insecurity
Naked and alone
The place of humans were
The face of humans were
Less stressed
So many in-crowds
So many outcasts
It doesn't make sense
I don't know why I care
I'm a mere whisper
Drowned by louder screams
I don't really matter
Compared to trends and fancies
All too happy being ignorant
Nothing comes from it
Yet they say I'm the weirdo
When I find reason
So it's smart to act stupid now
And finding reason means nothing
Why do I bother
Why do I care
Why don't I let myself fall
Why don't I crumble and give in
Oh wait that's right
I don't want to be society's statistic
I don't want to be a percentage
That an unknown face
Plasters on the tv screen
I don't want to follow followers
I don't want to succumb
To the stupidity around me
I want to be myself
I want to be someone
I want to be me
Even if I'm not apart
Of the popular society
Of the ignorant society
Of the rich society
Or the immoral society
That's perfectly fine with me [comments] => 2 [counter] => 195 [topic] => 48 [informant] => InexactExactness [notes] => [ihome] => 0 [alanguage] => english [acomm] => 0 [haspoll] => 0 [pollID] => 0 [score] => 5 [ratings] => 1 [editpoem] => 1 [associated] => [topicname] => EmotionalPoetry )
