i've learned a many things about life

jennie, i really liked this poem. it reads very well and tells your story and your victory over a horrible past. it touches the heart, the recollection of everything you've been through, that these are not just words but so many painful incidents in a young life. yes, you had to grow up way too fast, it isn't fair and you had to exorcise so many personal demons. but you triumphed. you broke those shackles, those unnameable things that worked to suppress your spirit. i may say it too often but everytime i think about what you have been through and managed to stay who you are, to beat... all of this, well it is such an incredible and awesome display of inner strength and character. i don't think i could have withstood what you did. maybe these shadows will hang around -- and i like that line, very visual and conveys the persistence --- but they will pursue in vain because you are the victor. i am proud of what you have done, proud to know you and most of all happy for your personal triumph.

| Very nice write. One way to heal is to write down your words. It is like closier to most. Remember that things we go through only makes us stronger. you did very well on this. good for you!!!! keep it comin girl!!! |

Hay their girl you know I’m here for you anytime you need a comment. You have always been their with loving words on my piece and encouragement when I speak of pain and for that I thank you. This poem really touched my heart and is a big eye opener. It really hit me hard being way over here in Iraq girl. These last four lines are so powerful I don’t think you know how much they mean to a reader like me.
and now i can say i've forgotten the past

There is hopefulness and determination in this, and I hope it will continue to see you through. Life can be very hard, but I do believe it is hard for a reason, and that if we try, wisdom comes from it.
