Breaks upon my face,
This day doth bring a song,
Of what I’ve desired so long
On a wing of wind.
Under the covers of sweet sunshine
The soul senses something divine,
I am able to see how;
A silent dew drop sleeps,
Perched at the edge of a water lily,
Lost in tranquility;
I am able to see now;
The dance of the dragon fly,
And spreading out their arms to the sky;
Are the valleys and the barley fields,
Beauty is slowly revealed,
Unto the heart of my soul,
Yes I am able to see,
How the land is dressed;
In agape, passion and happiness,
The profundity in child’s play,
A trace of hope in what people say,
This concrete city with its smoky gray,
Fades away into oblivion,
My gentle...gentle darling.
I don’t know how to show,
I only pray you know that;
I love you for everything I feel,
For I feel you in everything I love
I have been blessed by the Lord above
I thank Him on bended knee,
For giving you to me,
I’m gratified for this dawn,
Each year, this very day,
The day that you were born.
