On a ferris-wheel that's spinning trying not to hurl

I drift off into another place to find what i'm looking for
But i am cut off by a screaming voice followed by a slamming door

My head just wants to burst from all of the aching pain
And what do i get out of this not anything close to gain

It aggrivates me to know that i won't go anywhere in life
Without a bad thought in mind and my trusty little knife

To be able to say i'm closer to a knife then to my own mother
Brings such a horrible feeling in me unlike any other

But somehow it makes me stop and think before i go too deep
That i need to find some one who cares before i go to sleep

My cards haven't been played out well ever since day one
Not having a mother that cares for you is truly no fun

But to forget it all i just lay back and give myself a little cut
Not too shallow but not too deep yet still my question is what

What if i went too deep would i be doing the right thing
By ending my dreadful life so soon with this painful little sting

Not scared but not brave enough to do this to myself
I get to thinking about the one who cares and the knife goes back to the shelf

this is a really good poem. I loved the emotion you put into it. The uncertainty and how it is all put together.
Loved it!
Looking forward to more

keep writing
keep smiling

Yes, I know how it feels and no, you wouldn't be doing the right thing. You're not here because of others, you're here for whoever/whatever gave us life and/or for your own needs - take your pick. That said, it pays to be nice because it gives back good karma. At the same time there will always be lousy times. Let it make you strong.
(I don't normally dish out advice, but I'm telling myself the same stuff right now...)
Anyway, your rhyme is good and I like the couplets.
J.

You sound like the kind of person that can help all others thru their worst problems, but not yourself! I too have the same problem,I'm over the knife thing though!! Cutting yourself a little,or too deep,to me is the same as love!!! Do you care a little,or fall in so deep that there's no getting out of it!!!! The knife isn't your life,it's what's in your mind!!!!! What I read tells me that you still have plenty of room up in there to convince yourself that you are your own master of your life, not a knife!!!!!!
Just remember, suicide is 99.99% selfish & is letting all that care about you know that this problem got the best of you, including that heart of gold & your dimond eyes-DON'T give it the satifaction, calm down & give it to yourself by being strong & talented-like this poem!!!!!!! NUFF SAID!!!!!!!!

DAN!!!!!!!!!

A very personal write and I think it's good you wrote this...Cutting doesn't work; it's a short term answer, and in the end only brings more pain...Try to find some common ground with your Mom and mend your heartache....Take Care, Scorp.
