On light and water does it feed
It grows at a tremedous rate
But soon enoughits on your plate.
We eat them mashed, we eat them fried
We eat them boiled, what havent we tried?
They do taste really good to eat
But as i sit here on my seat
I think of how its lived its life
And now I slice it with my knife.
I think of how its boycotted bugs
Worms, caterpillers and also slugs
Its faught out in the freezing cold
And as we know, we all get old
But if we didnt eat them then
Thier seeds begin the cycle again. [comments] => 8 [counter] => 179 [topic] => 7 [informant] => Lucinda [notes] => [ihome] => 0 [alanguage] => english [acomm] => 0 [haspoll] => 0 [pollID] => 0 [score] => 15 [ratings] => 3 [editpoem] => 1 [associated] => [topicname] => HumorPoetry )

I think it is a very nice poem. Comical. I am a country girl and I seriously never thought about the life cycle of a potato. How could we live without them????? This is a great piece of work.
