Blessed are we
who build with pen
upon the parchment white..
how similar these things can be
to buildings and their height.

For blood and sweat
with brick and stone
upon the landscape lay
are as to those

Ahhh, metapoetry.... you've got my attention!

I've long believed that it is a sign of a true poet that he/she cannot help but consider the art of poetry itself... most particularly, when they cannot stop themselves from putting those ponderings to the page. To write poetry of poetry is, I think, a most worthy endeavor.

And yes, I'd have to agree.... to be a writer is to be blessed. Well done.
