Hovering weightlessly with no ground below
Heading blindly with no light to guide
Mindless and obedient I continue on
Hours pass it seems before a haze developes
Green in hue, misty and spreading without end
Around me now are thick and gnarled trees
Like trapped souls condemned for eternity
Distant whispers begin to grow louder
Calling my name with a wicked tease
Then darkness gives way to an ashy path
Leading me deep into this blackened forest
Shadows begin to merge from within the haze
Weightless as I these wraiths call out to me
Down the path I drift for longer still
As the images grow in number around me
I come to a stop at the end of this path
To the center of this forest among these souls
Faceless and dressed in black attire
Then a fire rises from out of the dark
As these wraiths chant louder my name
A voice in the flames roars out his desire
And again I am drifting around this pyre
This spellbound trip my soul has traveled

MY DARK PATH

Floating motionless through the darkness
Hovering weightlessly with no ground below
Heading blindly with no light to guide
Mindless and obedient I continue on

This is beautiful. Beautifully wriiten, bitersweet, dark, passionate and lonley. You have a real way with words, rich language and imagry. it flows so lyricly, like a sculpture of black ice or the night sky above a moonlit gothic wood. Perfect in its entirety yet far reaching it inspires the imagination. Like Rimbaud, Elliot or Keats. Wonderful. Dont stop.
