Could never do justice to what I mean.
Feelings surpass the riches of gold and myrrh,
It is a wealth which will remain unseen.
Neither angels nor demons can dissever
Myself from yours for I belong to you.
My love for you, immortal forever,
One which nobody could ever subdue.
My heart feels neglected, alone and mute
Unless it is trembling with your presence.
Almost though the arrow Eros once did shoot,
Did pierce my chest with an ache so intense.
A rose is said to be twin to a thorn,
But love like this could never turn to scorn.

Welcome to YPDC.... Hope to see more of your work here.
I especially liked these lines....

"Three eloquent words that I often utter
Could never do justice to what I mean.
Feelings surpass the riches of gold and myrrh,
It is a wealth which will remain unseen."

A good start to many more posts, I'm sure. If you are this much in love, then I both pity and envy you.

I'm also very impressed by anyone who can find a poetic use for words like 'dissever'!
