I sit here, watching the the sky pass by.
I wish for every creature to run free,
I wish for every bird to fly.

A small little bird, locked up behind bars.
Nowhere to fly, want's to fly to the stars.
Unable to obtain, the freedom that it needs.
Once the gate is open, it flies where nature leads.

Flies towards the eastern sun, flies to ancient grounds.
Finds another nest, without the bars and bounds.
Now it's free to rest, and the sky's open once again.
Golden bird of freedom, fly and be a guide to men.

Nature gave the bird it's freedom, and formed it's future well.
Now it has it's happiness, isn't it easy to tell?
The bird has found it's way, a question now returned:
the morale it was simple, has the lesson now been learned?

Oh, golden bird of love, tell me where to fly.
You see, I got my freedom, but I don't see the sky... The nighttime is once again upon me.

Oh, golden bird of love, tell me where to fly.
You see, I got my freedom, but I don't see the sky...

A lovely and light-hearted poem. The last line poses the philosophical question of "freedom". Very good.
