Array ( [sid] => 9457 [catid] => 1 [aid] => Mick [title] => Pair of Socks: Sock Philosophy. [time] => 2002-12-30 09:00:00 [hometext] => One day when I was folding socks, I was thinking of how pairs of socks are sort of like pairs of lovers. This poem sort of describes that philosophy.
Mr. Saini, we are perfectly matched socks:-D [bodytext] => One, but not the same,
both are the perfect.
Left is framed, right is framed,
by material that was knit.

Opposites they are,
together they go,
can be paired with another
but won’t feel right though.

Theirs are the stains
that match their same use,
from journeys they ventured,
and other abuse.

Opposite feet have
worn them at night.
Separated under sheets,
they’ll eventually unite.

If one is gone,
the other is useless
just like the writer
when she is muse less.

Or just like the cowboy,
who doesn’t have a song.
Or just like the sandal,
without its thong. [comments] => 4 [counter] => 264 [topic] => 2 [informant] => Jessica_Saini [notes] => [ihome] => 0 [alanguage] => english [acomm] => 0 [haspoll] => 0 [pollID] => 0 [score] => 5 [ratings] => 1 [editpoem] => 1 [associated] => [topicname] => LovePoetry )

I apologize for a typing mistake I made. In the second line, the word "fit" should be after the word "perfect".

nice. I think you could do a lot more with this if you wanted to. It's fun to read and to think about.
