and hollow stare emerging from his eyes
There not in spirit, noone would admit it,
They knew they were wrong, to feed him the lies

His function; rejection, His life; imperfection
Yet never before had his view been so clear
His hopes had been shattered, he'd thought he had mattered
Now he had no idea why he was here

Alone on this planet, he won't make amends
Devoid of compassion, betrayed by his friends
Stuck in the middle, not dead or alive,
And noone's around to see if he'll survive

I couldn't believe this had no comments when I saw it..

This is awesome. A stunning, and heartfelt write. I can relate to this.

You have spoken of the feeling well, and I love how you described it.

Great write,
*hugs* Phil xxx

I think anyone mired in these feelings could wholeheartedly embrace this poem. It is very powerfully emotive. I enjoyed this read.

Great content matched by great rhythm and simple structure. Straightforward, open, eye-to-eye and powerfully clear.

An exceptional poem and an honor to read.
