Array ( [sid] => 94367 [catid] => 1 [aid] => mick [title] => Tear Drops [time] => 2005-05-14 18:51:31 [hometext] => this poem is just about a father that dies..and the family is coping [bodytext] => I cry every night
Wishing my dad was here
I stare up at the great big sky
As I wipe away a tear

It's been two months
Since my dad went away
I stare at his beautiful picture
He gave to me for my birthday

My mom sits on the couch
Just drinks away the day
Of the last breath she took
When her husband went away

I see her crying a lot
When I come in view she stops
She wants to be strong for us
Theres no such thing as tear drops

I know it was his time to go
I just wish i knew before
That way i could have stopped him
Before he closed the door

The reason of this prayer god
Is to let me know he's ok
Just a simple flick of the light
Every time I pray

And make sure he knows
That we will never be apart
As long as memories last
He forever in your heart.
