To the point where you drank yourself away.
I could've changed my all,
If only you would've stayed.

When you left me,
Guilt and blame burned within.
The anger, the bitter sadness,
Was taken out on my innocent skin.

I pushed past the pain,
And moved on with my life.
Well that wound still festers,
And remainders are left made by the knife.

The ache has caught up with me,
As I'm feeling the burn I hid below.
Now a new girl lies in his arms,
As my blood and tears both flow.

She gives him happiness,
The kind I couldn't give.
Now I see him happily with her,
And I no longer want to live.

It's not my face,
He dreams about in deep slumber.
With gun at point, knife at vein,
I look at my life and wonder.

Why is he happier with her?
Why has she stolen his heart?
Was I as crazy as he said?
Did I really make him fall apart?

My place is in his past,
His present, his future is her.
So despite his happiness, my sadness,
I remain but a blurr. [comments] => 2 [counter] => 211 [topic] => 22 [informant] => Pats4eva7 [notes] => [ihome] => 0 [alanguage] => english [acomm] => 0 [haspoll] => 0 [pollID] => 0 [score] => 5 [ratings] => 1 [editpoem] => 1 [associated] => [topicname] => LostLove )
