You

I open my eyes
As I awaken.
I see you for a moment
Before from my mind you are taken

I stand in the shower
Hot water on my back and shampoo in my hair
I feel your sweet caress
It’s as thou you are there

As I'm driving to work
In the cars that go pass
I swear that I see you
Its not you, just another lass

While I sit at my desk working
A glance at your picture and I'm no longer blue
As the stress of the day starts to get to me
I feel you massage me in that special way that you do

I stop by the store on my way home
Walking down the isle I smell that scent
Was that your voice that I heard?
I can't stop it, my mind is bent

At home I go threw the motion
Watch TV, clean and off to play a few games
Here but not really my thoughts are of you
Wishing you were here as I read threw the names

And now it is late, I'm tired
It was a very long day
Its time to head to dream land
So with you I may lay

This is a lovely piece of work. Yes, those memories do stay with you forever. They are so deeply imprinted in your mind and heart they never go away. Great work.
