with pure white softened wings?
Watched her dance among the clouds
or heard the song she sings?

Her words will sing of longing,
her melody will sigh,
and if you stay in silence,
you'll hear the angel's cry,

Her tears will fall like raindrops,
So stop a little while,
and turn your head towards the stars
to make the angel smile

For then she'll know you're listening,
and have no cause to fear,
How can her song be beautiful?
If no one cares to hear?

This is why the sea is full
of sad forgotten screams,
of all the lonely angels
with broken hearts and dreams

So if you hear an angel's song,
rain down from up above,
Be sure to listen carefully,
Don't let her waste her love.

I love that, and some of the images in this are really good.

Great write,

Too often we pass the angels by. May we heed your words.
I love the stanza about the sea, for it has always captivated me. If angels weeping are the ocean's cries, then now I know why they capture me so. Thank you for a great poem.
Take care.
David
