As the echo reverberates
A tone begins to delete
All that was left in its wake
From summers past
A constant deep pitch
The voice of reason
Is justified in what it takes

The vernacular incorrect
A dialect from the West
Spoken teachings of wise men
Confucius equilibrium
Postulated and theorized
The voice carries out a mission
Organized by the ideas it serves
Originating in the stomach of the beast

Forfeited speech
Given up by the monk
The mute, the joker and the lonely drunk
A terrible waste indeed
The voice was deceived
Rejected by its owner
Spit back into the lonely street
Traumatized by silence
A crowded corner it seeks

The drum beats
As the swords are released
Once holstered
The echo of the voice
Is now forever free
Authentic and unique
Its new mission
Is simply to stand up proud
And speak

The echo which blows
Free in the wind
The voice which created it
Now held in prison
Kept on strict short leash
The game of resistance
Ends with the spoken word
The voice that is muted
The echo is heard

This one is really, really sad jyss...it seems to me like it's bordering on self hatred. Well, I'm happy for you that things (for the most part...) are starting to look up...I hope your future is blindingly bright my friend : ) I mean that.
Very emotive write...
