We don't see each other any more
You called the other day
To tell me you love me
To say you wish things between us
Could go back to where they were
For the entire summer
We were together almost every day
Night after night
We spent together
Embraced in your arms
For what seemed like an eternity
We would take turns
Sharing stories of our lives
Of things
That seem like they took place
All so long ago
If there was a time
In which we could not be together
We would be on the phone
For hours at a time
You told me that you cared for me
And that you love me too
That we had a special bond
Which would never go away
You said that you would never leave me
That you would always be here
But times have changed
The night I last saw you
Not knowing that you would be out of my life
You told me to look up at the sky
To pick out a star
And that star became ours
You said to make a wish upon our star
I wanted that moment
To last forever
Every night
I make the same wish
I wish for you to be mine
Times have changed
We don't see each other any more
But for that entire summer
My wish was a reality
You were mine
Night after night
We spent together
Embraced in your arms
You said that you would never leave me
That you would always be here

This poem, tho so sad, is really beautiful, i really enjoyed reading this, and it is a VERY well written piece of work. How everything seemed like it would stay so perfect in the beginning just shows that those are memories long since passed, and it all just captured me. Thank you for sharing this one, keep them coming.

Mit Liebe und Umarmungen
Ali
