Black.
White.
And Red.

Splatters and drips, Child,
Girl, from your blurred jawline; You

Never have had your knuckles turn so white
never gripped the chair or your soul so tightly.

Your eyes are very green and they clench and they pool.

Nails torn linear
like tennis shoes and shadows
Like dinner on Sunday
Like lips.

Red but never bitten;
the glint of my glasses,
the twist of my smile

like licorice.

I like this.

Especially this part:

"Never have had your knuckles turn so white
never gripped the chair or your soul so tightly."

I can see you in this, Lane.

Good write,
*hugs* Phil xx

Mmmmmmm, licorice....

Oh, yeah... the comment... ^.^

Vivid.... spine-tingling, gut-wrenching, all-consuming fear... Through the eyes of a killer is what it seems to me... but I know not the brilliance and complexity of your own mind, so I won't make assumptions... Ghastly images of torture and sexual gratification derived from the victim's pain-filled screams... (unless it's me that is getting the gratification.. ??) I do love all of this dominant tormenting... The deepest and darkest part of me gives you two million gold stars for this one, cheri... You have touched a very morbid part of me that seems to take over whenever I read anything like this... The symbols and personification is just so captivating and horrifyingly gorgeous... that I can't help but sigh, even after my 5th time reading this, lol. So, consider yourself greatly complimented and admired! Your talent blinds, cheri... I absolutely love this, and hope you will visit this nightmarish realm... and provoke that part of me with the silken caress that your poetry possesses. Riveting and quite enticing. Thanks so much for sharing this with us, cheri Lane. Always love reading and commenting your work. Do write again, :). All my love. Forever,

Your dear friend/little rose petal,

~*Stephy*~
