I really hate change
I like my life static
hate to rearrange

With change comes unease
opens the door to fear
I get real edgy
when change is so near

My vision's nearsighted
I can't see far at all
my embracing the future
has come to a stall

These four walls surround me
my home's a safe haven
can sit in messed clothes
my face ain't clean shaven

I'm looking for work
and updating my blog
poetry comes out
rewrite my prologue

These four walls are sturdy
they keep out my brother
but things are too tight
my breath they do smother

Looking out the window
and nothing is near
Has life passed me by
I'm alone I do fear

Despair sinks its teeth
in my wrinkly old skin
Hope fades away
I know I can't win

These walls are a prison
they have suppressed my fight
the tears roll unchecked
in the emptiness of night

I really loved the flow in this..... As for the content..well let me just say this...I used to be the same way....until I was thrown into a position of responsiblity.... Now..my fear of change has disappeared...maybe not completely, but I no longer dread it...
(You should read my poems Called "Fear" and "Faced With A Mountain"

Thank you..
Jenni
