To think of it makes me ill
How could I have been like that?
Under my own free will!

I’m not so sure anymore
If I can enjoy each day
With how I acted haunting me
Day after day after day…

What was my motivation?
Why did my sub-conscious control?
Is that my personality,
That occupies my heart and soul?

If it is,
I want to start over.
Put the three-leaf away
Get a four-leaf clover.

Do not feel sorry for me
For feeling like this,
I deserve to wait a while,
For a life of smooth harmony and bliss.

Someday I will go back to normal,
But right now regrets having its attack,
So don’t be surprised if you see me
Head turned toward the past, watching my back.

I never meant to be like that
To think of it makes me ill
How could I have been like that?
Under my own free will!

Sometimes reality comes back and slaps you in the face, but that's a good life lesson. Your not a horrible person you know, everyone makes mistakes and has regrets in their lives. The main thing is, you've learned to take off the rose colored glasses and see the truth. I don't know your situation or what you think you did wrong, but I hope you won't keep kicking yourself.
