Of the heart, for which
He already knows the answer
And yet, is unwilling
To accept the inevitable

In his desperation, he goes
To a good friend for advice
Knowing well in advance
What the advice is going to be
Yet he goes, that is his weakness

But then, when he gets his advice
As was anticipated and
Sooner than he expects
He is still unsure, a clash
Between his head and his heart

His heart desperately wants to prevail
And his head deliberates in detail
The cons and pros of
His heart's desire and yet
The dilemma persists, he a weakling

A man aught to accede good advice
When he gets it, especially
when he knows, it comes from
Someone who really cares
Will he now? I wonder!!!

I am not a man but i too have been in this delemma where i needed advice from that one special friend that i had and knowing the answer would come out just as it did and having to fight the battle within myself within my heart and my mind, i think the heart and mind are at constant warfare and i think this is what causes mankind to have so many feelings and i think it can be very destructive if one does not learn the difference of whether the mind or the heart is speaking to them....i thank you my friend for sharing this poem, it's very full depth and emotion.....and of course truth...
