The wick has been lit

the candles all burned away.
I need to make sure
that my candle burns right
and shows of Gods Glory
in the candle type light.
My glow when it ceases
will wither from view,
but if with Gods glory
it will leave His residue.
My candle will live on
in another that saw
the Love that I burned
that was of such awe.
The love for my Jesus
that kept me alive
will help another candle

Life Candle Stick

My candle is burning
and it seems to be quick
as it burns all my time
down a life candle stick.
The wick has been lit
as it began on one day
so to burn right until
the candles all burned away.
I need to make sure
that my candle burns right
and shows of Gods Glory
in the candle type light.
My glow when it ceases
will wither from view,
but if with Gods glory
it will leave His residue.
My candle will live on
in another that saw
the Love that I burned
that was of such awe.

Interesting write, your faith was shown through this, it was an interesting subject choice for this topice (but thats probably just me.) I am looking forword to reading more from you later. Be well.

Your poem was very well written and describes your faith and love for Jesus very clearly. I am not entirely religious myself although I do believe there is a God somewhere out there and this poem has inspired me to perhaps go ahead and become a Christian officially as I have pretty strong beliefs in religious issues although I have never being christened. May your belief in Jesus continue, it is deeply inspiring to see that there are still many believers out there.
