Transparent thoughts emerge
My sense of self quivers
At the very thoughts of my self

A sense of self allows your peace
My own peace are the stones at sea
My own realities are the thoughts that please
A sense of ones self is all a man needs

--

Identity struggles with itself
A sense of pride
A sense of wealth
The prospect of understanding
Keeps the self not withstanding

A sense of morality
A sense of freedom
My thoughts are with you
On this day of atonement
Me prayers are with you
Take them while I’m offering

A sense of God
A chosen place and time
A place of worship
Is in this heart of mine
A sense of maturity
A grown up voice
A sense of responsibility
A grown up choice

A sense of self allows the air to move
Empowering the rain to fall
Giving credence to the snow
A sense of self lets the water grow
Combining a hydrogen and two oxygen
A sense of science completes this paradox
The thought of creation seems unorthodox

A sense of pursuit on the wrong track
A sense of guilt into coming on back
Those senseless thoughts that align
Your loving senses to mine
The sense of love
Is the sense of worth
Is a gift from the Gods
A sense of self

This is a splendid piece of work. It reminds me of youth and the angst and the time it takes to become strong within ones self. To identify with your own strengths and weaknesses and say 'I am a good person'. I am extremely impressed with this write and your talent. You have a golden pen, my poetic friend.

A really good poem about reflection, and looking deep within....Scorp.
