I traveled waywardly at dusk
running from life and time
'long that old dusty road
and heard a whisper on the wind
Not just the breath-
as the wind shall breathe,
but a voice
then a song...
then a singing mournful scream

A melody of flats and minors
filled with such sorrow and emotion...
Shrill cries of sadness
my elicit frightful tears flow
as darkness quickened-

Then came the rain
burning cold relentless pinpricks
a rhythmic pulse thunders
feral tremors beneath me
and throughout... It drowns out all else

until all I can hear is
silence.....then the sound-
finally rising...

the deafening roar of madness
as currents of hysteria crackle
and electrify the sky...

Wow. . . glad to be perusing your pages again . This was powerful
Billy. SO profoundly powerful. (knocked my socks right off! ) The title
drew me in and subsequently the words shot right through me.
(dare I say, like a lightening bolt?) This was creative imagery, dear
word master.

"the deafening roar of madness
as currents of hysteria crackle
and electrify the sky..."

I am astounded and amazed and in love with that !! How do you do it?
How do you find the exact words to express that moment; that
emotion; that disturbance that we are when we feel ?

As always . . . inspired beyond comprehension.

yours~

~Breezy

OMG, this is like, wow, the imagery u cast into ur readers head is absolutely sensational. I could just picture sitting there looking up at the sky as it lights up and the thunder crackles away. Let u in on a little secret, I'm scared of thunder ever since I was little. You did a magnificient job painting an electrifying picture in my head.
Well done King of all poetic verse. Shine on.
love from ur devoted fan/friend,

A verbally descriptive piece of art... a song of nature's beauty ...a flash of brilliant pleasure from the heavens above....that should do it...lol truly well done
