Array ( [sid] => 93845 [catid] => 1 [aid] => mick [title] => WARSAW [time] => 2005-05-09 20:22:33 [hometext] => [bodytext] => Purity is scattered in the ash of what once stood on this hill
The sanctity of a commitment that once had to rebuild
This temple of worship where Moses once stood

A vast forest covered in cactus dust
Rain has left this land desperate and dead
And through the ashes runs the river red

A pile of bones where the killers dug a grave
A hidden agenda of the mass depraved
And so in this valley of children the corpses lay

The smell of defeat stays strong all these years
A perpetual reminder of the forsaken tears
The instinctual desire to get on one’s knees and pray

A gravesite that need not have been
For if not the commitment to murder and sin
Repentance is not an option you can not be forgiven

Beauty is the grass that now grows above the slaughter
The stone head engraved and the crying granddaughter
Beauty is the sun that penetrates the dirt, letting the light through

Remembered are the names of the innocent who were left alone
Forgotten is the God who said nothing and condoned
Thankful to the Americans who beached that storm

Purity is scattered in the lands of our neighbors
Purity is empowered through the acts of our enslavers
Decency should be this writers final endevour

I believe you mean "endeavor", not "endevour".
Funny in life how the same things can be pure in one situation and impure in another. A concept the whole world seems to be wrestling with.

This is a powerful and provacative write. I am extremely impressed with the depth of thought and how well you followed through to the end with ho hint of weakness to show through. This is splendid write.
